Ayden Randall Paige dies in fatal Springfield shooting

Fatal Springfield shooting death of full name Ayden Randall Paige

The Sangamon County Coroner, identified as Jim Allmon, officially confirmed the identity of the eighteen-year-old male brought to HSHS St. John’s Hospital’s ER Monday night from the 2200 block of South 14th Street in Springfield.

Hospital personnel declared Ayden Randall Paige deceased at 6:52 p.m., a short time after his arrival on the premises. An autopsy, performed as part of the procedure, determined that Paige succumbed to one injury caused by a firearm.

The Sangamon County Coroner’s office and the Springfield Police Department are presently examining the death.
