Fatal Geismar car crash death of Clyde Butler

Local authorities reported that Acadian Ambulance Service officially announced the death of one individual after a serious road incident. This event took place during the night of Wednesday, August 20, in the Geismar region.

The accident involved a vehicle that flipped multiple times, occurring on the eastern stretch of Interstate 10 near Louisiana Highway 73, within Ascension Parish. According to reports, the driver, who was identified as Clyde Butler, a 77-year-old resident of New Orleans, lost control of his vehicle. He drove off the road, collided with the guardrail and the bridge barrier before the car turned over several times.

Louisiana State Police stated that during the accident, Mr. Butler was thrown partially out of the vehicle. They added that he did not survive the impact and passed away at the scene.
