Fatal Parke County car crash death of Courtney Brown
Investigators from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a serious traffic incident on County Road 800 South early Tuesday morning, where a single automobile accident resulted in the death of the driver. Upon their arrival at the location, deputies discovered the vehicle, but no one was initially inside.
A thorough search of the crash site, involving multiple agencies including the Montezuma Town Marshall and Lyford Fire personnel, was carried out. During this extensive operation, the individual operating the vehicle was found. Identified as 39-year-old Courtney Brown from Rosedale, she was determined to have been thrown from the car and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
