A fatal shooting took place on North Roan Street in Johnson City early Wednesday morning, prompting police intervention. Around 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to 2412 N. Roan Street and located a man in the surrounding parking area with serious injuries from gunfire. Medical examiners confirmed that Justin Sturdivant, a 37-year-old resident of Johnson City, died at the scene. Initial reports suggested the incident started as a disagreement between two individuals, which then became physical and led to the use of weapons. Authorities made an arrest at the location of Jacob McGlone, a 45-year-old from Scottsboro, Alabama, who faces charges including murder. The ongoing criminal inquiry is being handled by the Johnson City Police Department’s investigation unit.
