Early morning reports from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the aircraft crash happened at approximately 8:40 a.m. on West Larimer County Road 2 in Larimer County. At the scene, emergency personnel found the glider engulfed in flames, but they were able to douse the fire quickly.
Preliminary findings from the ongoing probe suggest that the ultralight glider collided with power lines before crashing onto the dirt road. This collision caused considerable damage to the electrical infrastructure, including multiple power lines and poles in the vicinity.
