Fatal BLUE MOUND grain bin accident death of Thomas W. Ritter
Officials in BLUE MOUND are now identifying a man whose death resulted from a grain bin incident. According to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, they provided support for a rescue operation inside a grain bin located on Pleasant View Road on Wednesday evening. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the individual trapped within the bin did not survive. A specialized rescue team was dispatched to the scene to retrieve the body.
The victim has been identified as Thomas W. Ritter, a 73-year-old resident of BLUE MOUND. Authorities indicate that their ongoing investigation into the incident is in progress.
