The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office announced on Saturday that an 18-year-old individual, identified as Antonio Skyes Jr., was the person killed during a fatal incident on Friday night.
Cordova authorities reported that Skyes was located inside a motor vehicle at the time of the shooting. The precise spot was near the交汇 area of Berryhill Road and Chimneyrock Boulevard, with the discovery happening around 5:40 p.m.
Neighbors in the nearby residential area were cited by FOX13 as expressing shock, stating that such an event was unusual for the generally quiet suburban community.
Tony Williams, who manages a local lawn care business and is responsible for the upkeep of the vicinity, described the situation as deeply disturbing. He commented, “Witnessing something like that during daytime, the audacity of the individuals involved is truly alarming.”
In an effort to gather more information, local police requested that several nearby businesses temporarily shut down their operations in the afternoon for a period to review security camera recordings.
When FOX13 requested footage from the premises, they did not get a response by the time the report was issued.
Law enforcement has confirmed that the incident is currently under investigation, and no individuals have been identified as suspects.
