Fatal St. Matthews shooting death of Jeremy Thomas.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office announced on Saturday that 48-year-old Jeremy Thomas died on Tuesday. He passed away due to multiple gunshot injuries suffered on Saturday, August 16th.
Thomas was shot at the Jamestown Apartments located at the 800 block of Markham Lane. Police authorities stated that they provided initial medical assistance before emergency services arrived and transported Thomas to UofL Hospital. His death occurred while receiving treatment at the hospital.
Local residents expressed that the Jamestown Apartments are typically peaceful and this type of incident was unfamiliar to them. Law enforcement indicated that everyone involved in the shooting incident has been located. No arrest has been reported yet.
