Fatal New Haven shooting death of Daiquan Hyman and Ernest Williams
On Wednesday, law enforcement officials from New Haven provided the names of the two individuals killed in a double homicide that happened on Monday afternoon. The deceased were named as Daiquan Hyman, who was 26 years old and from East Haven, and Ernest Williams, who was 32 years old and from New Haven.
According to the police report, Daiquan Hyman was determined to be deceased shortly after he was taken to a medical institution, while Ernest Williams later lost his life because of his injuries during the early evening of Monday.
New Haven police indicated that they suspect a disagreement took place among several men, with the discussion evolving into a physical conflict, which then resulted in gunfire.
When officers arrived at the scene on the 70 block of Dickerman Street around 2:12 p.m., they encountered both men without any response, suggesting they were not conscious.
