Fatal Elkhart death of Donald Shepherd
Elkhart police are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the death of a man located on Riverwalk. Responding officers assisted medical professionals at approximately 12:00 a.m. on Monday, the 25th of August. An individual was found unresponsive on the sidewalk, near a McDonald’s location, in the 100 block of North Main Street. Medical examiners confirmed the man was deceased at the location.
The Elkhart Police Department has officially identified the deceased individual as Donald Shepherd, who was 55 years old. This matter is currently being treated as an active death investigation by authorities.
