Fatal Woodburn car crash death of K’Rondre’ Demarcus Minor
Oregon State Police have released the identity of a man from Gresham who passed away on Monday night. His death was caused by a serious traffic collision on a major highway near Woodburn.
The accident happened before dawn on Monday, around 4:30 a.m., close to the 26-mile marker point located south of Woodburn.
According to the authorities, K’Rondre’ Demarcus Minor, who was 20 years old and also from Gresham, was driving his Infinity G35 vehicle against the flow of traffic. He was moving north on what is normally a southbound road, also known as the southbound lanes of I-5. This resulted in a direct head-on collision with another car, a Honda Civic.
Families living in the inner southeast sections of Portland have been voicing their worries recently about similar incidents occurring on the roads.
Earlier reports indicated that the police investigation into this particular event is still ongoing.
Both K’Rondre’ Demarcus Minor and the person driving the Honda Civic were taken to a hospital immediately after the crash because they suffered serious injuries.
Unfortunately, K’Rondre’ Demarcus Minor did not survive his injuries and later passed away.
The police and highway crews had to close down the busy road for about five hours so they could properly examine the crash site and gather all necessary information.
