Fatal ALCOA car crash death of Rowland Buck
Alcoa law enforcement is examining a severe traffic accident involving a cyclist and a large truck on Tuesday. The incident began when emergency responders were dispatched to East Hunt Road shortly before 8:00 a.m. The scene revealed a collision between a bicycle and a semi-trailer truck that were traveling in the same direction.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel began administering emergency care, including CPR, to the cyclist. The injured cyclist was transported to a medical facility where they were in critical condition, but later passed away. Identified as 61-year-old Rowland Buck, he did not survive the injuries.
The truck driver involved in the accident was not injured and was presumably unharmed. Alcoa Police continue to probe the incident to determine its complete circumstances.
