Cameron Ballentine dies in fatal Shreveport shooting
The unfortunate demise of Cameron Ballentine occurred in a fatal Shreveport shooting.
A 17-year-old male identified as Cameron Ballentine has died as a result of being shot multiple times in the Shreveport area. The incident transpired in the early hours of the morning on August 31st, specifically just after midnight. The location of the shooting was the 3300 block of Bond Drive, situated near Roy Road and Downing Street in the vicinity often referred to as the MLK neighborhood.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene promptly following the fatal shooting. Mr. Ballentine was transported to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at approximately 12:54 a.m. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s office has confirmed his identity. This event represents the 25th confirmed homicide in Shreveport for the year 2025.
Law enforcement officials have indicated that the fatal shooting remains under active investigation.
