Fatal Florence ATV accident death of Cory L. Stevenson
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a man met his demise in an incident occurring on Saturday afternoon. The agency detailed the events, stating the accident transpired around 4:45 p.m. on Lauderdale County Road 24, located near Hike Drive, approximately five miles outside Florence city limits.
According to the ALEA, the individual involved was Cory L. Stevenson, identified as a 34-year-old resident of Florence. The agency explained that Mr. Stevenson was operating an all-terrain vehicle when it deviated from the designated path. The vehicle subsequently struck a depression, leading to a complete overturn.
Upon being ejected from the overturned ATV, Mr. Stevenson was found unconscious at the scene. Medical personnel pronounced his death on arrival.
