A Chevrolet Corvette driver met his demise after the vehicle lost control and collided with a utility pole in Lasara, Texas, confirmed by Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Sgt. Maria Hernandez. The tragic incident transpired on Tuesday evening, around 9:50 p.m., on 6th Street, situated west of FM 1010. Erik Daniel Perez, who was identified as 20 years old, was observed by Hernandez to be traveling westbound on 6th Street at a notably high speed.
