State troopers have disclosed the name of the motorcyclist who died in a serious incident last week in Wayne County. The young man, identified as Jack R. Axx, was 19 years old and resided in Webster. He passed away at the accident site after his bike collided with a pickup truck shortly before 9:50 p.m. on August 22.
The collision happened near 181 Lake Road in the Town of Ontario. According to investigators, Axx was moving west on a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle when he hit the front passenger area of an eastbound 2018 Chevrolet Silverado that was changing direction to access a private road.
No one else involved in the crash was hurt; the pickup truck driver and his passenger, both from Ontario, escaped injury.
The incident is still being examined by the State Police, with specialists from the Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation contributing to the ongoing probe.
