Fatal Ridgeway car crash death of BRAD OHLSON
The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office is examining the scene of a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday in the Town of Ridgeway. The incident transpired at 12:00 a.m. on Ridge Road. Deputies arriving at the scene reported finding the vehicle completely ablaze, with downed power lines scattered around the car and obstructing the road. National Grid personnel were dispatched to cut off the electricity, permitting firefighters to extinguish the blaze. Law enforcement confirmed the death of one man inside the vehicle, identified as Brad Ohlson from Batavia.
Investigators surmise the vehicle was moving at a considerable speed when it departed the roadway, striking multiple objects before overturning and subsequently igniting. According to the deputies, the crash resulted in damage to adjacent utility poles, a mailbox, some fencing, and a tree.
