Fatal Louisville car crash death of Gary Wright
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual killed in the serious vehicle collision on the weekend. The deceased is Gary Wright, a resident of Owensboro who was 77 years old at the time of his death. He lost his life in the accident which occurred around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Local news affiliate WAVE reports that the incident took place in the 12000 block of Dixie Highway. According to investigators, a total of four vehicles were involved in the collision.
Gary Wright was pronounced dead at the scene. However, another person involved in the crash, Tami Jo Hawkins, was also seriously injured. She was transported to the hospital where she later passed away.
Law enforcement officials state that the crash is currently under investigation. This situation remains active as authorities gather additional information and updates are expected.
