Fatal Kingman County car crash death of Blake L. Reese
A young individual was pronounced deceased at the scene following a collision involving a motorbike and a panel van. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in the Kingman County region of south-central Kansas.
The accident was initially documented at 6:55 p.m., at the intersection of N.E. 50th Street and N.E. 70th Avenue, which is situated approximately five miles to the southeast of Pretty Prairie. Initial reports indicate that the motorbike, being ridden by a teenager, was traveling southbound on N.E. 70th Avenue. Traffic logs from the Kansas Highway Patrol state that the vehicle failed to comply with a stop sign. This failure led to a direct impact with the van, which was moving westbound on N.E. 50th Street.
The motorbike involved in the accident was a 2025 model Kawasaki, and the rider was identified as Blake L. Reese, aged 16 from Kingman. Emergency responders confirmed that he did not survive the collision. No other individuals in the van were reported to be injured.
The van’s operator was named as Kyle K. Meireis, who was 54 years old and also from Kingman. The other passengers inside the van included Melody Antoine, a 16-year-old from Harper; Paisley J. Gonzales, aged 14 from Kingman; Naomi L. Loop, 17 from Kingman; Halle P. Robinson, 15 from Kingman; Stormy S. Waters, 14 from Danville; and Sunny S. Waters, 16 from Danville.
