The incident transpired shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday in the 2300 block of Babcock Road. As emergency services arrived at the scene, they discovered Anthony unconscious and unresponsive. A preliminary statement from the San Antonio Police Department indicates that witnesses reported seeing an unknown car speeding away after apparently striking Anthony in a parking area. The description of the suspect vehicle provided by police matches a 2010 Nissan Murano.

Preliminary reports also confirm that the individual responsible for the accident failed to stop and assist the injured person. Anthony was pronounced deceased at the location. At the moment of the report, no suspects have been apprehended by the authorities.
