Fatal Roanoke car crash death of Jonathan Robert Lambert

Police have confirmed the identity of the person killed in a serious motor vehicle accident in Roanoke on Saturday, which also resulted in eight people receiving injuries.

Jonathan Robert Lambert, a 31-year-old resident of Salem, has been identified as the individual who lost his life in the first vehicle involved. According to law enforcement, he was the sole occupant of that car and was airlifted to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries.

Investigators explained that an Oldsmobile Alero, being driven by Lambert, collided with a Harley Street Glide motorcycle while traveling on Williamson Road Northeast. The initial assessment revealed that the Alero was going too fast and crossed into the opposite lane of traffic.

Following the collision, the Alero slid across the road and was subsequently hit on its side by a Chevy Silverado. Six people inside the Silverado were transported to local healthcare facilities for treatment of non-critical injuries.

The motorcyclist and their passenger were also taken to a hospital for care of minor wounds.

The ongoing investigation into the incident is set to continue.
