Fatal Menifee car crash death of Alice Fields
A woman aged 79 was pronounced dead following an auto collision that sent her vehicle crashing into a retaining wall in Menifee, and she was confirmed as a local resident on Monday.
Fields sustained lethal injuries approximately 340 minutes past noon on Friday in the 27700 block of Avenida Interno, with this information released by the Riverside County coroner’s agency.
Based on the Menifee Police Department’s account, responding officers arrived at the crash scene and encountered a severely damaged Kia Soul containing a woman who had become unresponsive. There was no other person inside the automobile.
Medical responders on the scene determined that Fields had passed away at that location.
According to law enforcement, Fields was traversing east on Shadel Road and ignored a traffic signal at Sherman Road, causing her vehicle to proceed eastward, jump a curb, and then pierce a cinderblock wall before coming to rest in a backyard property.
The police stated that substance abuse, specifically alcohol consumption, was possibly a contributing element in the incident.
