Local authorities have officially named the individual who lost their life following an incident at International Crankshaft in Georgetown, as confirmed by the Scott County Coroner’s Office.
The fatal workplace accident involved a contractor who was performing routine equipment servicing when the tragedy occurred.
Coroner Mark Sutton provided the identification to FOX 56 News on Sunday, stating the deceased was Richard Thurmon, aged 35, and a resident of Elizabethtown.
Despite attempts to gather further information from International Crankshaft Inc., including a request made by FOX 56 News on Saturday, the company has not offered any statement or clarification.
The official probe is ongoing, with the expectation that additional updates will be forthcoming as law enforcement continues its examination of the incident.
