Waterbury law enforcement officials have officially confirmed the identity of the man who lost his life following a shooting event on Charles Street during the early evening hours of Monday. This individual was identified as Frank Garay, a 29-year-old resident of Hartford.
A news release issued by the Waterbury police department on Wednesday stated that Officer Nyjah Porcher conveyed that responding officers were dispatched to the 90 block of Charles Street on Monday night regarding reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man suffering from serious injuries caused by bullets. Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.
According to the information provided by Officer Porcher, the city’s Major Crimes Unit is currently assigned to probe this shooting incident. The police spokesperson requested that any members of the public who might possess information relevant to this case should come forward and provide it to the authorities.
