Fatal Wyoming, MI shooting death of Luis Hernan Fernandez Sandoval
Wyoming, MI – Identifying information for the man killed by law enforcement during a domestic disturbance on September 16th was released. Responding officers encountered the 31-year-old, Luis Hernan Fernandez Sandoval, at a residence in the 200 block of Lemyra SE. The incident began after authorities were alerted due to a protective order against Sandoval being violated. When the officers arrived, Sandoval was allegedly breaking the protective order. In response to the situation, the two patrol officers discharged their firearms, and Sandoval sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical examiners, and emergency services reported no other individuals were hurt during this encounter. The local Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the shooting incident. Their Investigative Division is examining the situation, including conducting witness interviews and collecting evidence, with the goal of providing a thorough report to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office for further review and potential action.
