Fatal shooting in Wyoming claims life of Luis Hernan Fernandez Sandoval.
Wyoming, Michigan authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual killed following law enforcement gunfire during a domestic disturbance call received on September 16th. Responding officers encountered Luis Hernan Fernandez Sandoval, a 31-year-old male, at a residence located in the southeastern section of Lemyra. Police indicate that Fernandez Sandoval was involved in a situation where he allegedly violated a protective order. This legal directive against him was reportedly the reason prompting the domestic disturbance report.
Upon arriving at the scene, the responding Wyoming police officers discharged their firearms. Subsequently, Luis Hernan Fernandez Sandoval succumbed to his injuries immediately at the location. No other individuals present sustained any harm during this unfortunate incident. The involved law enforcement officers are not being sought for charges at this time.
This incident has been formally classified for investigation by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office’s Investigative Division. Sheriff’s office personnel are actively engaged in detective work, conducting interviews and gathering relevant evidence related to the shooting. The collected information and findings from the Sheriff’s investigation will be formally forwarded to the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office for a thorough legal review.
