The Bossier Parish Coroner’s Office has officially identified the woman killed in a domestic violence incident at the Villaggio Apartments in Bossier City on Sunday. According to the authorities, Manissa Tranell Howard, who was 44 years old, succumbed to a gunshot wound at her home located in the 5300 block of Venecia Drive. When the police arrived at the scene, they found two other individuals already receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot injuries; these persons are expected to make a full recovery.
The initial dispatch for the welfare check originated from family members who had reported concerns about a man involved in the incident. They stated he had allegedly confessed to harming his wife and expressed intentions to harm himself. Medical personnel transported this suspect to a nearby hospital where he is currently in critical condition; however, his identity remains undisclosed at this time.
