A car crash on J.R. Allen Parkway claimed one life, reported the Columbus Police Department.
The incident occurred Monday morning, with reports suggesting the segment from Blackmon Road to just south of Moon Road was closed approximately at 2:40 a.m.
Candace Rush, who was 42 years old, has been identified as the victim by Columbus Coroner Buddy Bryan.
According to CPD, patrol officers were dispatched to the scene overnight for the crash, which took place on the westbound side of J.R. Allen Parkway. The Motor Squad is conducting the investigation.
