David Morais (or David Morais, 28) dies in fatal Avon industrial accident

Fatal Avon industrial accident death of full name of deceased victim David Morais

The individual killed in Tuesday’s industrial accident in Avon has been identified as David Morais, who was 28 years old and lived in West Roxbury. This information was released by the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office, headed by Michael W. Morrissey, in a statement issued on Wednesday.

The accident took place at Materia Millwork, located at 254 Bodwell Street, around 2:56 p.m. on Tuesday. According to statements from Michael W. Morrissey and Avon Police Chief Jeffrey J. Bukunt, Mr. Morais was killed when he sustained a fatal head injury while moving a stack of plywood. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators are currently examining the incident.
