Family and friends are rallying to support three children after police discovered two fatalities inside a residence in Fountain. Authorities arrived at the scene following a 911 call that indicated a disturbance and prompted dispatchers to maintain the line open.
Upon their arrival, officers found two individuals deceased within a home located on the north side of Fountain. The Fountain Police Department has not disclosed additional details regarding the incident. Amanda Larribas has been identified by family members as one of the victims. They described her as a cherished friend and an exceptional mother.
KRDO13 reported speaking with Amanda’s closest friend, Kristina Ford, who initiated a GoFundMe campaign to provide financial support for Amanda’s three children. Kristina stated the funds aim to secure their wellbeing and future.
Kristina Ford, who was Amanda Larribas’ neighbor on Bonita Drive, shared a close bond with Amanda as they were both stay-at-home mothers. This connection led Kristina to immediately respond to the news. She went to Amanda’s house and took the three children from the home, ensuring they remained under her supervision.
Family members have since provided toys and essentials to Kristina’s home while a vigil has been established at the entrance of the residence where Amanda lost her life. Kristina mentioned that the children’s grandmother is pursuing custody and hopes to successfully obtain it.
