David Lunn dies in fatal Rehoboth death
Fatal Rehoboth death of David Lunn
Prosecutors have identified the man found deceased inside a vehicle on Rehoboth property last Friday. David Lunn, aged 54, was discovered unresponsive on a “workstyle van” located at 107 County St. This same property was previously the scene of an alleged murder investigation involving a pregnant teenager earlier this month.
A family member found David Lunn’s body just before dawn on Friday morning on the Rehoboth premises. According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s press release, Lunn’s 48-year-old spouse was also discovered unresponsive inside the van at that time. The spouse was transported to a hospital in critical but stable health, and the couple’s dogs, turned over to animal control, were reportedly okay.
Police investigations revealed the pair had been residing on the isolated property for several weeks, using the vehicle as their home, even though it was officially registered in another state. Fire officials performed a carbon monoxide test on the van but found no dangerous levels present.
Further police findings suggest a potential history of substance misuse for both individuals, though officials stated there’s no direct connection between such issues and Lunn’s passing. The ongoing case will continue until the Chief Medical Examiner officially determines the cause of the man’s death.
