Fatal car crash death of Erica Wynn
Canton authorities reported that a forty-five-year-old female had passed away due to injuries sustained in a road vehicle collision along Tuscarawas Street West. According to statements from the local law enforcement, officers were dispatched to the area approximately two hours and twenty-two minutes after the day began, on the date of September 26th. The responding team found that a large sport utility vehicle, specifically a model year 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee moving from east to west, had collided with a person walking across the street against the flow of traffic. This pedestrian was identified as Erica Wynn, who was traveling from north to south at the time of the first impact.
Following the initial collision, preliminary reports indicated that Ms. Wynn was thrown into the opposite direction, landing in the path of oncoming traffic. There, she was subsequently hit by another car, a 2018 Honda Civic that was also moving eastbound. Medical personnel were unable to save her, as she was transported to a nearby healthcare facility and succumbed to her serious injuries later on. The ongoing probe is being directed by the specialized Canton Metro Crash Team, which is examining all aspects of the incident to determine full responsibility and contributing factors.
