Berks County Deputy Coroner Hannah Cutshaw confirmed the death of William Forbes, who was 70 years old, at the accident location in Washington Township on the 23rd of September.
According to information provided by troopers from the Reading station:
Forbes was driving northbound on Route 100, near the point where Niantic Road connects, when his vehicle crossed the double-yellow divider into the opposite lane. This resulted in a collision with a southbound car being driven by David A. Dewey, aged 37, from Gilbertsville, Montgomery County.
Following the incident, Forbes’s car ended up on top of the southbound guide rail. Dewey’s vehicle came to a stop on its own in the southbound direction, facing westward.
