Fatal Chelsea car crash death of Allen M. Madison

Taylor County authorities were notified on the morning of September 30, 2025, around 5:41 A.M., about a two-car collision on State Highway 13 near Alfalfa Avenue in Chelsea, Taylor County. Reports also mentioned that both vehicles in the accident subsequently caught fire.

Emergency personnel, including deputies from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, first responders from Taylor County, the Medford Fire Department, and Taylor County Ambulance, went to the scene. Inside one of the vehicles, a 19-year-old male identified as Allen M. Madison from Ashland, Wisconsin, was found. He was inside a 2010 red Ford Fusion that was completely surrounded by flames. Madison was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle received medical treatment, and no serious injuries were reported initially.

Initial investigations suggest the Ford Fusion, which was heading south on State Highway 13, crossed into the northbound lane. This resulted in a head-on collision with a semi-tractor trailer. The impact ignited both vehicles. No other people were in the cars at the time of the crash.

This event is still being looked into by the authorities.
