Fatal Cleveland shooting death of Aniaz Paradiso

Valley Forge High School in Parma Heights is in deep sorrow following the death of 16-year-old Aniaz Paradiso, who was taken away by a violent incident in Cleveland late on Sunday morning. The principal, Janine Andrzejewski, communicated the tragic news to the school community via email, expressing profound sadness. She remembered Paradiso as a young man who was full of life and vitality, someone who embraced experiences and created memorable moments wherever he went. She also noted that his most endearing feature was his bright, welcoming smile, which brought warmth wherever he appeared.

Andrzejewski mentioned that Paradiso was a junior student at Valley Forge High School. Before transferring to the high school, he attended Shiloh Middle School and was in ninth grade when he first joined the Valley Forge High School student body. The tragic event occurred when Paradiso sustained a fatal injury from gunfire during a confrontation near West 130th Street and Lorain Avenue shortly after midnight on Sunday. Authorities arrived at the scene initially responding to a disturbance report, but they discovered that a shooting had taken place.

Cleveland police reported that the group involved in the conflict was at an Airbnb property for a celebration. Following the incident, an 18-year-old individual was apprehended. The capture required a search effort involving a police helicopter and specialized K-9 teams. The suspect is currently being held at the Cuyahoga County Jail, charged with obstruction, as the ongoing investigation continues.
