Floyd Crespo dies in fatal Beaufort County car crash.
A 42-year-old man from Effingham, Georgia, named Floyd Crespo lost his life Thursday afternoon as a result of a truck collision in a grocery store parking area located in Beaufort County.
Chief Deputy Coroner Shane Bowers reported that Mr. Crespo passed away at the scene around 2:50 p.m. on that day in the crash on Hilton Head Island.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Hannah Davidson, the incident occurred at precisely 2:45 p.m. at 301 Main Street, where a semi-truck was involved and unfortunately struck a pedestrian, who was later confirmed to be the deceased, Floyd Crespo.
The official cause of death has been determined by officials to be injuries resulting from blunt force trauma sustained in the accident.
The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has indicated that this fatal car crash is currently being looked into.
