Investigators have determined that a 41-year-old male, identified as Jacob Edward Parris, lost his life in a severe traffic incident. This accident occurred on Sunday afternoon along a significant roadway. The crash was between a two-wheeled motor vehicle and a sport utility vehicle. The specific route involved was U.S. Highway 43.
Law enforcement officials from Northport shared details about the incident. The collision took place approximately at 1:50 p.m. Officials pinpointed the location as the northern section of Highway 43, specifically within the 5600 block area. This stretch of road is situated close to the junction with another major highway, Highway 171.
The vehicles involved in the deadly crash were identified. One was a motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha. The other vehicle was a GMC brand SUV, specifically a Yukon model. The operator of the motorcycle, who was a local resident of Northport, was Jacob Edward Parris. Medical professionals confirmed his death occurred immediately at the accident site.
Deputy Chief Keith Carpenter from the Northport Police Department offered additional information. He stated that apart from the fatality, there were no other reported injuries resulting from the crash. His office’s technical unit specializing in traffic incidents is currently examining the entire accident. As of now, authorities have indicated that no legal actions are being pursued regarding this specific event.
