Fatal New Haven shooting death of Kaiden Phillips.
According to law enforcement officials, the 15-year-old individual who lost their life on Saturday evening was a participant in sports activities at Career High School.
Police sources confirmed the identity of the deceased as Kaiden Phillips. Chief Karl Jacobson of the New Haven police provided this information.
Based on available statements, Kaiden Phillips was described by Chief Jacobson as a respectful teenager.

The chief added that there are indications the event could be linked to confrontations occurring after high school football matches, although the ongoing investigations are not focusing on this particular context.
Based on the information from the police department’s representative, Kaiden Phillips was struck by gunfire in the vicinity where Bassett Street and Dixwell Avenue intersect, at approximately 7:55 p.m. on Saturday.
