The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is examining a fatal vehicle collision in Ferndale that occurred Sunday evening. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office indicated that a vehicle struck a motorcycle at the intersection of Mountain View and Olson Roads approximately at 7:15 p.m.
The individual operating the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the other vehicle suffered serious injuries and were transported to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. Additionally, another motorcyclist involved in the incident sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. The sheriff’s office stated it will not provide further details until the ongoing investigation determines the cause of the crash.
