Fatal Sprague River homicide death of Robert Hein

According to Oregon State Police, a hunter stumbled upon an unidentified corpse. This discovery happened in a wooded area near Sprague River last Tuesday, September 23.

Klamath County Sheriff’s Office officials confirmed the death resulted from a homicide investigation. The identity of the deceased was later established as 47-year-old Robert Hein, originally from Bellingham.

The investigation, initiated after the body was found, resulted in the apprehension of two local men. These two individuals, aged 38 and 41, were arrested on Thursday, September 25. Both men, residents of Sprague River, are being formally charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.

Oregon State Police continue their investigation and have indicated they will not release any further details on the matter at this time.
