The fatal shooting death of Ta’Ron Reid occurred in East Pittsburgh. The incident took place on September 16th at a residence located on the 500 block of Ridge Avenue. Detectives with the Allegheny County Police Department confirmed that their 19-year-old suspect, Tayron Reid, is currently in custody. Ta’Ron Reid was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with multiple gunshot wounds around 10:30 p.m. The Homicide Unit was activated following the discovery. An investigation was launched, and through interviews with witnesses, authorities identified the suspect. The suspect’s last known residence was in the Hill District section of Pittsburgh. Law enforcement described the suspect as approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. Detectives sought advice from the district attorney’s office and secured a criminal homicide charge against Tayron Reid prior to his voluntary surrender to police.
