Riverside County Coroner’s Office officials have confirmed that the individual who passed away on Tuesday morning following a collision involving multiple vehicles was identified as 18-year-old Jaime Castro.
According to Desert Hot Springs police, the incident began around 4:10 a.m. on the previous date near North Indian Canyon Drive and Scenic Drive. Authorities reported finding an adult male pedestrian in the roadway, who suffered fatal injuries after being hit by cars.
It is believed that while some drivers stopped at the scene, other motorists involved in or who observed the incident prior to the collision might not have been identified yet.
