Cumberland County authorities reported a fatal collision involving a motorcycle occurring on Tuesday. The incident involved multiple vehicles converging on South Third Street near Clark Street in Lemoyne Borough, happening approximately three hours after sunrise. Crews had to shut down a portion of that thoroughfare for an extended period to look into what happened. State officials later determined that the motorcyclist, identified as a man named Robert Allen Rustay from New Cumberland, lost their life right there at the location.
A spokesperson for the West Shore Regional police department mentioned that law enforcement apprehended an individual present at the crash site. That person displayed indications of being under the influence. One of the car operators incurred medical injuries and was taken to a healthcare facility. State Police are examining the accident through a detailed reconstruction process.
