The identities of the two men killed in the recent Spokane South Hill shooting have been confirmed. Both victims were identified through the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office.
The medical examiner’s office reported that TERRANCE WALLETTE, who was 37 years old, and EMILIO VAZQUEZ, who was 20 years old, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on Wednesday, September 24. The office further stated that the death of both men was ruled a homicide.
Sources indicate that a third individual involved in the incident remains hospitalized, currently in critical condition.
The Spokane Police Department (SPD) confirmed the shooting took place on East 34th Avenue, close to Chase Middle School, on Wednesday evening. Upon arrival, officers discovered the two men deceased and found the third man suffering from serious gunshot injuries.
According to police, they have reason to believe the three men were acquainted. SPD officials noted that the precise nature of their relationship will be clarified as their ongoing investigation progresses.
The police department stated that they have no evidence suggesting any other individuals were harmed in the incident and expressed no current concerns about additional threats to the community.
