Greenville authorities have confirmed the identity of the person killed in the deadly intersection collision on Greenville Drive.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal accident occurred when a vehicle traveling north on Greenville Drive collided head-on with a motorcycle.
Deputies arrived at the scene promptly after the crash was reported and secured the area to manage traffic and begin preliminary investigations.
Sheriff James McAllister has confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle suffered critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital but did not survive the injuries.
The condition of the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was reported as minor by the responding officers.
A spokesperson for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office stated that the cause of the collision is currently under investigation to determine if any traffic laws were violated.
