Law enforcement in Amarillo, Texas, is investigating the death of 57-year-old Paluku Valantin, who was found deceased inside a home near Bluebell and 11th Avenue. The incident occurred on September 25th.
According to authorities, three individuals are facing charges related to this fatal event. Alline Ndayishimiye, Thomas Seldon Rendon, and Dashaun Timothy Jackson are each accused of aggravated robbery and murder. These accusations stem from an alleged violent encounter where the victim’s food assistance card was reportedly demanded.
Footage reportedly shows Ms. Ndayishimiye interacting with Mr. Valantin before summoning Mr. Rendon and Mr. Jackson. The two men exited their vehicle, engaged in a verbal dispute with Mr. Valantin, which escalated into physical violence. The attack involved striking the victim with their fists and a broken glass container.
Following the assault, Mr. Rendon and Mr. Jackson searched the victim’s belongings before departing in their car, taking his food stamp card and mobile phone. A witness allegedly took Mr. Valantin to his apartment, where he believed the victim had merely dozed off. The discovery of the deceased prompted a call to police the following day.
The three accused individuals, aged 30, 33, and 18 respectively, are currently facing trial on charges of aggravated robbery and murder.
