The coroner for McDuffie County, Paul Johnson, has identified the person who died in an occurrence involving one vehicle on Sunday afternoon. This individual was 72 years old and lived in Thomson. He passed away as a result of injuries he received in the incident, according to the office of the coroner.
Local authorities reported the accident happened at approximately 2:00 PM on East Hill Street in the 400 block. The vehicle involved was a silver-colored truck from the year 2018, and the driver, who was Arthur Alexander, left the road and flipped the vehicle multiple times.
Another event happened separately. The Aiken County Coroner’s Office was informed about two automobiles that drove into water at Neeses Lake in Wagener. However, this was a different situation occurring in a different location.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to Arthur Alexander’s location. He was transported by ambulance to a medical facility, where medical personnel confirmed his death at 2:51 PM. No other people were injured in the initial accident, and the Georgia State Patrol is currently looking into the matter.
