Law enforcement officials announced the release of two individuals taken into custody after a fatal shooting investigation in Sheffield. The accused persons, a man and a woman, were let go while police continue their probes.
Kassim Mohammed sustained gunshot injuries on Watery Street within Sheffield’s Upperthorpe neighborhood on Tuesday evening. Medical professionals later confirmed his death at a nearby healthcare facility.

According to South Yorkshire Police, a 22-year-old male and a 31-year-old female were arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday and Friday respectively. The authorities subsequently released both individuals from detention.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles previously characterized the incident as a deliberate assault.
