Wesley McCray died as a result of injuries sustained in a bicycle accident Friday evening.
The Sumter County Coroner officially identified the deceased man, who was 50 years old, as Wesley McCray.
Law enforcement reports indicate McCray was injured and pronounced dead shortly after 7:30 p.m. near the point where McCray’s Mill Road meets Cooks Street. It is reported that a collision involved two motor vehicles, with the operators staying at the scene. Mr. McCray succumbed to his injuries.
