Fatal NEW HAVEN car crash death of Emma Grace Barnett
The Allen County Coroner has confirmed that nineteen-year-old Emma Grace Barnett succumbed to multiple blunt force trauma following a severe road accident. This incident marks her as the thirty-fifth person to lose their life in a traffic-related event within Allen County this year. The unfortunate collision occurred along State Route 37, west of Barnett Road, in New Haven, early Saturday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene of a head-on collision where Barnett’s car collided directly with a large semi-truck. According to initial findings, Barnett’s vehicle had crossed the center line unexpectedly, leading to the devastating crash around 5:30 a.m. The semi driver involved in the accident was reported to be safe and unharmed.
Emergency services confirmed that Barnett passed away at the location of the crash. As is standard procedure for such a serious road fatality, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, in conjunction with the local Prosecutor’s Office and the Coroner’s Office, is conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash.
